Clint Christian Gerebese

What is your job position in TTSP?
I work as a Design Technician, contributing in parts, to the design of a ship as a whole.
How do you describe the people you work with?
These people I am with aren’t just my colleagues; they are also fun to work with. Over time, we’ve built a strong bond which makes it better and easier for us to work as a team.
What are the challenges you face working in TTSP?
The tight schedule to finish the tasks on time with stringent consideration to quality has always been a challenge working in TTSP since day one.
What are your guiding principles in life and career?
The way I live my life, and the manner with which I handle my career are based from my principles of patience and perseverance.
Tell us about your experience with the president’s up-close and personal forum?
It was an honor on my part to be able to talk with the president face to face, to ask him questions directly and know more about him. I find him to be a good man.
How has TTSP helped you grow professionally?
TTSP taught me to be more flexible. In this company, we encounter different people with a few different cultures and varied personalities, but we learn from them and it’s a process of growth. TTSP taught me how to be a responsible individual. Ultimately, it has taught me how to handle any situation in a professional manner most especially at work.
Has TTSP helped you personally? How?
Yes, way back when my grandmother died, TTSP members extended their support not only financially but also morally. That time, was for me a big deal in our family’s grieving and coping periods.
What is your most memorable experience in TTSP?
The basketball league games supported by TTSP yearly, as well as all our company-sanctioned outings with my colleagues are all memorable to me. That’s not to mention all other events and occasions most especially the Family Day which is also conducted annually.
What can you say about the facilities available in the company (office and/or dorm)?
Our room at Tenshin Dormitory where we are staying is even bigger than our house (haha!). The provisions are cool. We have air-conditioning in every room as well as a good basketball court where we can play whenever we want. We also have a laundry room equipped with washing machines which are essentially time-saving in washing my used clothes. Moreover, it has wi-fi connections, although I don’t use it often because I have my own personal wi-fi subscription. It’s a total package for me. Not all companies can offer this to their employees so I am thankful enough.
What do you enjoy most about your free time?
I play basketball, at times play online games and engage in social media to see what’s happening to the world especially to millennials like me. Other times, I make video calls to my loved ones. If not, I just watch the latest and old movies from our dorm room's cable TV provision. These are my Monday to Friday routine after work. On weekends, I sometimes go home to have time with my family. It’s a good thing that TTSP provides us free bus transportation in going to and from Cebu City. However, I now have my own motorcycle. Maybe, I’ll ride the bus again some other time when I’ll miss the feeling (haha!).
What is your most favorite among the regular company activities conducted yearly?
All are good ones but I seem to enjoy most the sportsfest. It’s the time of the year when everyone is into sports. I’m a sports-minded kind of guy. Sadly, though, I cannot play basketball and volleyball in one night even if I want to because it’s in the rules to play only one kind of game to allow others a chance to play.
How do you see yourself in the future?
I see myself alive and kicking. Having my own happy family. Not a big one - 2 or 3 kids will do. Best of all, I wish for me and co-workers to have more blessings to come here in TTSP.

What is your job position in TTSP?
I’ve been working for 6 years now in TTSP starting as a Group Clerk for the past five years. I have recently been re-classified (last year) as a Junior IT Staff after having finished a Bachelor in Electronics Communication and having been exposed to certain IT Tasks.
What do you enjoy/like most in working in TTSP?
Recently, I am enjoying my designation as a Junior IT Staff, rendering IT support to Design and Office Staffs. I enjoy carrying IT-related instructions and delivering prompt action to user needs.
How do you describe the people you work with?
As what I have I observed, people here are determined, well-educated, fun & easy to deal with. Although, there are introvert and extrovert people alike I find that normal because each of us is unique in each own way.
What are the challenges you face in working in TTSP?
As a newbie in an IT environment I need to be proactive in learning IT skills which require some amount of patience and perseverance. I specifically found it challenging in learning more about the hardware and server aspects of Information Technology.
What are your guiding principles in life and career?
Every day is an opportunity to learn something new and useful.
Can you tell us about your experience with the president’s up-close and personal forum?
When it was my turn to be one of the participants in the “Up-close and Personal with the President”, I initially felt anxious. However, as the session went along I slowly felt at ease asking questions and listening to the President as he gave us insights about life and career. I was even more motivated after that session.
How has TTSP helped you grow professionally?
It has been a big deal for me having been re-classified into an IT Staff. It was a step towards the fulfillment of my dreams in the future.
Has TTSP helped you personally? How?
Absolutely, it’s a yes. TTSP has always been a part of my journey. Looking back, I was just an OJT. Now, I am satisfied in an IT career being able to supplement my husband in supporting a happy family with two kids in tow.
What is your most memorable experience in TTSP?
One of my most memorable experiences was when I was able to travel to Japan, a dream country I long wished to visit. In the past, during my OJT days, I was also able to celebrate my 18th birthday in TTSP thanks to mentors and colleagues for preparing that most important occasion for me.
What can you say about the facilities available in the company (office and/or dorm)?
TTSP has always been very considerate with the needs of their employees in such a way that it gives them discounted dormitory accommodations complete with household and some sports facilities. It also provides free air-conditioned bus transportation for employees who travel from Cebu City to Balamban and vice versa.
What do you enjoy most about your free time?
I’d always look back to my 1st loved hobby which is running, and as such, I have been joining local marathons & fun runs with my co-TTSP runners, which we call ourselves HANDUS Runners. Aside from that, I love to spend my time in family bonding such as movie-watching and dining with relatives.
What is your most favorite among the regular company activities conducted yearly?
For me, my favorites are the grand occasion of Family days, Sports Fests & Christmas Parties.
How do you see yourself in the future?
I see myself having built my dream house and acquiring a clean lot. To remain physically fit is a must because I also dream to have a sideline family business in the future, God willing.
